Mortice drill template set
Although we are advocates of NDE where possible, sometimes this is not achievable and rapid access is required such as reposessions, warrants etc. We have designed a tool to simplify the measuring and opening part of drilling mortice locks. The following diagrams and notes are for people who have already purchased the Gatemaster and are additional / alternative drill points & locks to the ones in their instructions. Additional locks
The following is a list of additional locks not covered in the original instructions and also useful information on alternative drill points or extra information about particular locks. This section will be updated as and when new information comes in.

Jedo/Lewis/Arrone
Easily ID with the curved hardplate and grey case, LEFT drill point red template A1.
Jedo/Lewis/Arrone
As this lock doesnt follow the ABA pattern the levers are very thin, but also contain spacers. As we can access the lever pack by missing the bolt (as shown by the red spot) for RIGHT drilling use red template B7
ERA Vectis
For LEFT handed Vectis, use the red template drill point A2 especially for mechanism failures, if possible knock off hardplate first. As this is a 7 gauge lock just offer the template up by eye as shown in the pic.
ERA Vectis
For RIGHT handed locks this can only be used if it is the KNOWN failure for these mechanisms. Slide the template down so the bottom of the template is in line with the bottom of the keyway and use RED template A2 to manipulate the mechanism.
Yale stepped hardplate
Identical to the red union 2234 the drill point for this is LEFT red template B8 and RIGHT red template A3
Chubb 3U74
Just like all variants of the Union 2134/2234 this shares the same drill point LEFT red template B8 and RIGHT drill point red template A3.
Walsall BS 2004+
Easily ID as 5 gauge, black, horizontal hardplate, but main factor is the curtain CANNOT be turned in locking direction. LEFT drill point red template B9.
Walsall BS 2004+
RIGHT drilling use red template A4. As long as you are accurate you will miss the hardened bolt as it has a semi circl cut out adjacent to the stump. the spacers will always show you how high to lift as they obviously are always in the true gate.
